The client

For a school, the website is the front door.

Aquarius Institute trains the next generation of healthcare professionals through programs in MRI, ultrasound and practical nursing.

Its website is where prospective students compare programs, check requirements and decide whether to enquire. When that website is slow and hard to find, enrollments suffer.

What we delivered

From slow and hidden to fast and found.

  1. A redesigned website, rebuilt on modern web technologies

    Challenge

The site ran on a legacy WordPress theme and took around six seconds to load. Prospective students were waiting, and many were likely leaving, before they saw a single program.

    What we delivered

We designed a new website with the institute's team and rebuilt it from the ground up with modern web technologies, replacing the legacy WordPress theme. Program information is clearer, pages are lighter, and the site is far faster.

  2. A clean migration to infrastructure the institute controls

    Challenge

The site and its setup were held by a previous vendor, which made changes slow and limited the institute's control over its own website.

    What we delivered

We moved the website and its setup away from the previous vendor to an environment managed by CloudsStream, planned so the site stayed available throughout. The institute now has full control of its website, and changes can be made quickly.

  3. Fast global delivery

    Challenge

Even a well-built site feels slow if every page has to travel a long way from a single server to each visitor.

    What we delivered

We deliver the new site through a global network of servers (content delivery network), so pages are served from a location close to each visitor and load quickly wherever they are.

  4. Getting found in search (SEO) and content writing

    Challenge

The institute ranked poorly for the program searches that matter most, both in traditional search engines and in AI search.

    What we delivered

We kicked off a search visibility plan (technical SEO) alongside the rebuild, working with the institute's team, so the site is set up to be found in both traditional search engines and AI-powered search:

    • Making sure Google and AI search tools can find, understand and rank every page (technical SEO)
    • Content writing: program pages and supporting content written for prospective students searching for healthcare training
  5. Meta ad campaigns for enrollment leads

    Challenge

The institute needed a steady, direct flow of enquiries from prospective students.

    What we delivered

We planned and run Meta ad campaigns aimed at prospective students. Leads go straight into the institute's inbox, so the admissions team can follow up right away.

Results

Faster site. Higher rankings. More leads.

<2sPage load time
down from around 6 seconds on the legacy WordPress site.
Top 3Search ranking
for core program searches, in both search engines and AI search.
~30%Early-phase growth
with Meta campaigns delivering enrollment leads straight to the institute's inbox.

The website is now fully under the institute's control.

In their words

“They took full charge of dealing with our previous contractor to migrate all our systems.”

Before CloudsStream started managing our web presence, we were stuck working with a very unreliable and frankly dishonest contractor. Leads were stagnating, crucial development was requested but never acknowledged, and work was being billed without any evidence of it ever being done. Leaving these business relationships is difficult because mission critical aspects of daily operations, from cloud services, online business tools, and social media, to the website and the infrastructure that holds it together, are tied to that relationship.

The headaches that come with migration, downtime, and the potential unknowns regarding contractor cooperation make it easy to settle for less than mediocre. CloudsStream came to us and identified key points of failure immediately. They outlined a roadmap from dealing with our former contractor all the way to production and managing our technology needs. The biggest point for us was that they took full charge of dealing with our previous contractor to migrate all our systems.

Right now, CloudsStream is managing our cloud business solutions, our online marketing strategy, and our website, which is our main lead generator. They have been very transparent in the work they have done for us, detailing project timelines and progress, documenting all of their work, and most importantly, providing us with tangible results. From an IT perspective, CloudsStream guarantees that this business relationship comes with no strings attached, meaning we own the systems that CloudsStream manages. I highly recommend CloudsStream for your business technology and marketing needs.

Why it worked

Foundation first, then growth.

Fix the foundation first

Speed and site structure came before ads, so every visitor the campaigns brought in landed on a fast, clear website.

Search and ads together

SEO builds long-term visibility while Meta campaigns bring in leads now, so the institute isn't relying on one channel.

One partner end to end

Design, development, migration, delivery, SEO, content and ads were all handled by the same team.
